On the 30th of September, Zurich-based musician Timothy Jaromir will be releasing “Ghosts”, his delicate, dreamy folk song featuring the up and coming singer Vania.
A prelude for the album Hiraeth, which will be released in November 2020, this is a song written by Jaromir to bring comfort on dark, sleepless nights, gently push to the side any feelings of self-doubt, and to coax arms to uncross and reach out for a long-missed hug.
"Ghosts" is deliberately simple, with instrumentation that allows for harmonious interplay between the two unique voices. A trombone reinforces the depth of the song’s warmth and charm.
“Ghosts" is the result of an international collaboration. David Baxter who plays guitar and Brian Kobayakawa on double bass both hail from Toronto while Vania currently resides in New York.

lyrics
GHOSTS
Close your eyes, close the door it’s cold outside Come on in, warm your feet, I’ll dry your eyes The twists and turns, the goss outside, come settle down The mountain range, the court and spark in silent town
Cause you can’t and you won’t and you don’t stop Living a dream that you made up And now you’re filling it up with silence and heartache But the patterns appear from the outside Like stones along the wayside Reminding you of the high tide and danger
Drop your guard, be my guest, I will hold Rest your bones, it’s been a while, since you let go The falls and fights, the push and pull, the frozen heights The sleepless nights, the do’s and don’ts, the blinding light
La la la la la la
Cause you can’t and you won’t and you don’t stop Living a dream that you made up And now you’re filling it up with silence and heartache But the patterns appear from the outside Like stones along the wayside reminding you of the high tide and danger
Cause you can’t and you won’t and you don’t stop Living a dream that you made up And now you’re filling it up with silence and heartache But the patterns appear from the outside Like stones along the wayside Reminding you of the high tide and danger
